Disclosure: I received a media rate while staying at the Wyndham WEC through the travel campaign with New Creative Media. All opinions expressed are 100% my own and my family’s. Any additional expenses incurred were my own.
My husband along with my 2 children and I. recently had the pleasure of staying the weekend at the Wyndham Cleveland at Playhouse Square.I am happy to say that we had an awesome time. From the valet that was conveniently available as soon as we pulled up, (and very friendly I must add) to the staff at check in.Our stay was very pleasurable. I can honestly say that everyone that I encountered that worked for the Wyndham was happy and pleasant. For the first time in a long time, I saw employees that were enjoying (or at least gave the impression) that they enjoyed their job. One of the major things that I especially loved about our stay is the fact that the room that my husband and I stayed in was attached to my children’s room, this allowed us the ability of spreading out while still being close together as a family. The hotel bedding in each suite was amazing!!We had the best night’s sleep. The mattress and bedding was so comfortable and soft, we all slept like babies.
My husband feel in love with the comfortable chair that was in the room. I must admit, it was totally cool! There were outlets conveniently placed on the front of the chairs which made it very easy to keep our tablets charged. There were also handy trays on the top that made it even better.
Another thing that we loved about the Wyndham was the amazing view. We were on the 9th floor which was perfect for our family. This is our view of the Playhouse Square sign which is where many of the popular musical’s and play’s are held. However if you stay in one of the rooms higher up in the hotel you will have a city view.
The hotel also has a bar and restaurant conveniently located downstairs and in the morning they offer a breakfast buffet that makes the best omelets we had ever had. My husband is still raving about those omelets. Omelets are definitely not the only thing on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had fresh fruit, bagels, pancakes, oatmeal and a very nice chef that makes fresh waffles and omelets to your liking.
Breakfast is not the only thing that the Wyndham offers. You are sure to enjoy your dining experience at Encore Restaurant and Blue Bar which is conveniently located on the first floor of the hotel. The creative menu offers an array of traditional and signature options to taste, such as the Ohio City Portabella and Fontina Angolotti or the Pan Seared Georges Bank Scallops and of course steak and mash potatoes with asparagus.
If you have children and you travel with them as often as I do with mine. You know how important room service and in room movies are. No trip is complete without a visit from the kitchen. My children were very happy with the room service and I was too because it allowed us the ability of really relaxing without having to worry about running out to eat. The hotel offers current movies that the whole family can enjoy. We watched Rio2 which was just released this past April.
The hotel also has a very large pool and workout room. I have never stayed at a hotel with so much workout equipment.
The hotel is also conveniently located in the vibrant theater district right on glittering Playhouse Square within walking distance to many of the popular downtown attractions which is also a plus.
Wyndham Cleveland at Playhouse Square is truly offers a Home Away From Home .I can’t think of any reason why you would want to stay any place else.
When visiting the Cleveland are. The Wyndham Cleveland at Playhouse Square is a winner!

I live in NE Ohio & occasionally my hubs & I go to Cleveland for concerts & other events. We always end up staying, but some of the accommodations aren’t as great as they should be. This place though, looks awesome!!!!
