Shop early before all the notebooks are gone. i made that mistake last year.
I have my daughter start going to be early and getting up early about a week before school starts to get back on a schedule.

Pick out clothes the night before!
Do as much as you can the night before school starts; make lunch, set out outfits, have back pack ready to go.
Don’t start talking about it and shopping for it at the beginning of Summer! Let the kids enjoy their Summer without “worrying” about going back to school!
Set all the clocks ahead a little bit! Lol
I let my son pick out his own supplies, so he is excited about starting school.
Start practicing getting up early a week before!
Buy supplies the first night of school so they buy only what is on their lists.
My best tip is to get bedtime and the morning wake up time in the routine a couple of weeks before school starts.
We homeschool so my favorite back to school tip is to show my kids how exciting it is to learn!
I lay out every thing the night before for each child, and line up all the shoes and backpacks on the couch. I also set out bowls, spoons and a box of cereal so that in the am all I have to do is execute the getting ready, not search for things!
Set your alarm clock early for the first few weeks so you don’t oversleep

The best tip I can give for school is be prepped a few days ahead of time with supplies and shoes, clothes. Lay out clothes the night before to make sure you can move around faster when need to.
Haven’t done it yet, but probably make it fun! And still do some summery things on the weekend!

My back to school tip is to NOT wait until the last minute to get everything done!
Don’t procrastinate, on schoolwork or getting ready.
We start setting the clock at least a week before school starts to help get the kids back in the habit of getting up and going to bed on time. We also make sure each kid has an alarm clock- so it’s their responsibility to get up and start getting ready.
I have a Kindergartener this year so I have to say get your kids to bed early so they are getting close to 10 hours of sleep. They need their rest for the long days ahead!
Get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and give lots of goodbye kisses.
