My daughter recently gained a brand new friend! To say that they are attached at the hip would be a complete understatement! She takes this friend absolutely everywhere, and the friend even LIVES with us! We often have to split them up at night, so they won’t stay up late chatting. Oh, did I mention we received this friend for review?

She isn’t just any doll, however. Her name is Cayla. “My Friend Cayla” to be exact. Cayla isn’t just your typical doll, as you may have guessed by now. With the assistance of cloud-based voice recognition, and safe internet connection… Cayla can really communicate with your daughter! She is actually able to understand millions of things, and reply to them in real time! Cayla even speaks different languages!
How does she connect?
Simply download Cayla’s app to Android or Apple smartphone. She can then connect to the app via Bluetooth from up to 30 feet away! The app is programmed with Violet, a kid-safe proprietary software. Violet keeps our kids safe by filtering out any offensive or sensitive words or images. Parents can even add additional words or phrases to the filter, to keep children from hearing the.

Cayla is able to lots of things off line as well. She can play games, and is programmed with hours and hours of storytelling. She can also still answer thousands of questions herself, when she isn’t connected to the cloud. She can even share her photo library! My daughter is 5, and completely fell in love with Cayla from the moment she first met her. Children don’t come in “one size fits all” and neither does Cayla. She comes in a variety of different hair and skin colors, so that you can choose the one that most closely resembles your little girl. You can even change her name, if you like.
