If you are looking for a family friendly movie. I highly recommend Snowtime! I was recently sent a copy of the movie for the purpose of review.I watched it with my children who are 12 and 6 years of age. I must say that we all found certain parts of the movie to be very comical and cute. Snowtime! is based on La Guerre des Tuques (The Dog Who Stopped the War), which is a popular film in Quebec.
The story is mainly focused around a group of kids who are divided into teams. They have a battle going on to defend their snow fort. One think that stood out to me is the fact that the movie is very diverse. There is a good variety of races, and ethnicities. The movie really brought to life the way that most children play together.
The movie had several messages that children can identify with. One of the man characters Luke, his father died in the war. This allowed me the opportunity of having a discussion with my children.
