Music has been apart of my families life for as long as I can remember. My mother was a novice piano playing as well as my grandmother, however that did not stop them from both having a piano or organ in their homes. When I was a little girl, I remember my mother playing on the piano to the best of her ability. I starting playing myself at the age of 7 year old. Playing in recitals was my favorite. Now that I have children of my own. I am proud to to say that two of my sons have taken on the piano tradition.
I recently received the Trebellina DVD for the purpose of review. I am thoroughly impressed to say the least.
In case you have never heard of them before.Trebellina is a revolutionary music teaching series for little ones that educates as well as entertains. The DVD teaches musical concepts, instrument names and sounds, as well as note recognition. If you don’t have a musical background these are the very important elements to playing any instrument.
The DVD is super cute and colorful which keeps children’s attention.Trebellina leads the note lessons. Along with Rock Bassey, she teaches your young child how to read the note in the treble clef and identify the corresponding key on the piano. Fun Rhythmo leads your child through a basic rhythm lesson, encouraging movement. Fascinating live action segments introduce percussion instruments from cabasa to cow bell so that your baby will quickly learn their sounds and see how some can be played. Other segments introduce the sound of various instruments in the context of foot-tapping music, coupled with relevant visuals.
The Trebellina and Friends series utilizes various teaching styles to best reach all children. The engaging music and sound with oral explanation caters to auditory learners. Visual learners will especially appreciate the beautiful pictures and cleverly styled words. The upbeat dance and rhythm scenes encourage kinesthetic learners.
I would never have thought that it would be so easy for children to catch on to the fundamentals of music so fast. I have a 4 year old and I thought that we would need to wait until she was older before introducing her to piano. I am so happy to see that that is not the case. She is off to a good start thanks to Trebellina.

I had not heard of this before but it sounds really helpful. I have a couple of children that play the piano. This would have been great when they were younger.
